Security of your passwords!
Dear Sir or Madam,
We have recently noticed that some accounts are being used in a "suspicious way".
Most users completely ignore the importance of the password itself and use the simplest ones, such as a combination of their first and last name, date of birth, address, and the like.
Users of such simple passwords are the first to be exposed to the danger that someone with the help of a password cracking computer will break into their user profiles.
Using computers and various algorithms, it is possible to crack simple passwords very quickly.
The most common mistakes when using passwords:
- The same password for all services
Never use the same password for all online services and social networks you use.
- Use of personal data in passwords
Never use your personal data in passwords, such as address and house number, date of birth of you or a person close to you, OIB and the like.
- Sharing your password with others
Never, ever share your personal passwords with other people. There are your personal data and no one has the right to know or use them.
- Use of short passwords
The minimum recommended password length is 12 characters. Anything less than that is not good and poses a risk that someone will reveal your password.
- Overly simple passwords
Never use passwords like "123456", "qwertz" or similar because they are the first to be targeted.
- You never change your passwords?
Passwords need to be changed from time to time. I know it's not really a practice, but with this change you only increase the security of your data and user profiles.
Please check your account activity and update your password if necessary!
