Hello ACMers, we hope everyone is doing well. Summer is now behind us as we march into Autumn and just wanted to make another announcement about the site with updates.
Site expenses and addition of Donation Gauge
Everyone knows that the site has expenses for upkeep, but we have now implemented a donation gauge with our new donation system, which you can now see at the top right corner of the site. Hopefully this new feature will encourage some to donate that were concerned about the running total prior.
Please make sure to thank our coder Nik for his hard work adding this as it's been possibly the most requested feature for the site for a while now.
We hate badgering people about this, but if you are able to donate, please do as it keeps the site running. The site has been mostly funded all these years by the site owner Jin, but that cannot go on forever.
Developer & Torrent Moderator Recruitment
We are still looking to recruit Developers and Torrent Moderators. We have been short-staffed for a while now and looking for help.
Developers must be proficient in PHP Development as previously mentioned, and this thread still applies to such.
Torrent moderators must have some experience in this role elsewhere (e.g. Currently mods another privater tracker, forum, site) and have good judgement skills. Users that have no experience in this field are also welcome to apply, but must be willing to put in the time to learn the ins and outs.
If you are interested in joining the team, please reach out using the support ticket system.
Rule update log thread
We have created a rule change thread to create more transparency when rule changes are put into place. The thread is closed to comments as it is just a rolling log, but this should help users see what changes have been made, as well as the reason behind those changes. If you are an uploader you may find this essential as most of these changes will effect you.
Further changes will be added to this thread as time goes on.
Games and extra user interactivities coming soon
Staff has been contemplating hosting 'gambling' type games with BON for a while now, similar to what other sites have in place. More details on this will be coming very soon, so please keep an eye on the forums for those threads, as they will be in the Announcements section.
We are also considering implementing other ways to gain BON by doing simple tasks that will also help the site in the form of bounties, as well as upload incentives which will be at random. If you have any ideas for those, please feel free to comment and we will take them into consideration.
